The essential components of EZyma™ Hydrogel, produced via Microcyn® technology are hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCL). Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is naturally produced as part of our immune system during the phagocytosis. It is an important constituent of our innate immune system.

EZyma™ hydrogel is formulated with the patented Microcyn® technology. This is a proprietary electrolysis process which generates a pH-neutral product with anti-inflammation and anti-microbial properties. The active ingredient in EZyma™ hydrogel is able to inhibit up to 86% of the release of histamine from mast cells, which is responsible for causing inflammatory responses, besides inhibits the secretion of proinflammatory molecules. The active ingredients is also able to disrupt the cell membrane’s proteins of single-celled microorganisms, thus exerts antimicrobial action. Human cells are not affected as they are too closely compacted and cannot be penetrated by reactive oxygen species.

To break the Itch-Scratch cycle, EZyma™ hydrogel uses Microcyn® technology which has both anti-microbial and moisturising properties. With more than 90% water and 2% poly-dimethylsiloxane (silicone), EZyma™ hydrogel creates a moist environment that re-hydrates, softens and moisturises the skin. Its anti-pruritic effect helps to break the itch-scratch cycle, while its antimicrobial property is useful to prevent and treat infected eczema. More importantly, it does not contain steroids, making it suitable for long-term management of eczema.
