Harmony® Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT)

Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) uses cell-free DNA (cfDNA) derived from the pregnancy to evaluate possible chromosomal conditions in a pregnancy. NIPT is a prenatal screening test that can be performed as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy using a single blood draw. It can also identify the sex of your baby.

  • Looks at fragments of your baby’s DNA in your blood

Fewer false alarms

With the Harmony test, fewer than 1 in 1000 pregnant women will receive a positive result for trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) in an unaffected pregnancy.2 With traditional first trimester screening, 1 in every 20 results is a false positive,1 which can lead to anxiety and unnecessary invasive procedures.
